Atrem S.A., belonging to the Grupa Kapitałowa IMMOBILE S.A., as the leader of a consortium with Firma Budowlana Dota sp. z o.o. sp. k. and New Amsterdam sp. z o.o. signed a contract for the construction of the Enigma Cipher Center. The Enigma Museum is a joint venture of the City of Poznań and the University of Adam Mickiewicz.
The museum will be built in the former Collegium Historicum, which is not a random location. During World War II, there was a branch of the cipher office of the General Staff of the Polish Army. Three graduates of the University of Poznań , Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Różycki and Henryk Zygalski, who managed to crack the code of the German Enigma cipher machine, worked there. The first interested parties will have the opportunity to visit the facility as early as 2021.
The exhibition will consist of both modern, multimedia and interactive stands, as well as specially developed props that will ingeniously introduce you to the world of cryptology.
"We are very pleased that the City of Poznań and the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań have trusted us and chose us to carry out this important task. This is a special implementation, which is symbolic for Poznań, because three of the most talented students - Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Różycki and Henryk Zygalski - cryptologists who actually broke the enigma, leaving a big mark on the World War II, took their first cryptology course at this university" - says President of the Board Andrzej Goławski.
The project is implemented under Measure 4.4 "Preservation, protection, promotion and development of natural and cultural heritage" of the Wielkopolska Regional Operational Program for 2014-2020, in cooperation with the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan and communities popularizing the history of Polish scientific and technical thought.
"Atrem is a specialist company with competence in sanitary, high and low voltage installations, teletechnics as well as in the field of project management. As a consortium leader, we've often worked on various projects. Together with Dota and New Amsterdam, we form a consortium of companies with extensive experience in their fields - general construction and modernization of various buildings, including historic ones (Dota), or in the arrangement of museum exhibitions (New Amsterdam). In addition, it should be emphasized that such an important investment for the city of Poznań will be carried out by local companies, such as Atrem and Dota. We are convinced that such a consortium composition will guarantee the successful completion of the project" - says President Goławski.
The value of the consortium's offer is PLN 23,770,000 net, and the estimated share of works attributed to Atrem S.A. is 28%.
