At the beginning of September, the University of Technology and Life Sciences was renamed to the Polytechnic of Bydgoszcz. On the eve of this historic change, ceremonies took place during which the banners were handed over to the departments of the new Polytechnic. One of its founders was Grupa Kapitałowa IMMOBILE S.A.

On August 31, 2021, a ceremonial session of the Senate of the new Polytechnic of Jan and Jędrzej Śniadecki took place. It was attended by representatives of the authorities of over 40 public universities in Poland, government and local authorities, parliamentarians and many guests. During the event, doctoral and professor promotions took place. State decorations and new insignia of the rector's authority were also presented, and the university received a new banner.



All departments of the PBŚ also received new banners. Grupa Kapitałowa IMMOBILE S.A. funded the banner of the department of Agriculture, the graduate of which is the president of the company, Rafał Jerzy, and his father is prof. dr hab. Marek Jerzy, he was the dean of this unit for many years. During the ceremony, GK IMMOBILE was represented by Piotr Szczeblewski, president of one of the Group's companies - PJP Makrum, also a graduate of the University of Technology and Life Sciences - today's Polytechnic.



We are very pleased with the transformation of the UTP into the Polytechnic of Bydgoszcz. It opens the way to even faster development and the possibility of educating great engineers. We employ many of them in the IMMOBILE Group, many of its graduates sit on the management boards of our companies, and make great use of the skills and knowledge gained at this university - said Piotr Szczeblewski.

The establishment of the first Polytechnic in Kujawsko-Pomorskie coincided with the celebration of its 70th anniversary. Currently, it is the largest technical university in the region, educating students at seven faculties: Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering, Animal Breeding and Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture and Biotechnology, Technology and Chemical Engineering, Mathematics and Physics, Telecommunications, IT and Electrical Engineering, and Management.
